Major fire at Thane building; 20 rescued

Thane, Apr 9 (UNI) A major fire on Friday destroyed the electric duct of a building on GB road here, informed Thane civic body RDMC chief Santosh Kadam.
None was injured in the fire which broke at around noon, he apprised, adding that the local firemen brought it under control within an hour.

Nearly 20 residents were safely rescued from the building. The cause of fire is not yet ascertained, he told.
