Prince Philip Tributes Flood In From Around the World
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has died aged 99—prompting outbursts of mourning and condolences from all over the world.
A statement from Buckingham Palace reads: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle."
Politicians, world leaders, celebrities and more are sharing messages of condolences following the sad news.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid tribute to the late royal with an impromptu speech outside Downing Street after the news broke on Friday afternoon.

Johnson praised Prince Philip's "steadfast support for Her Majesty the Queen... her strength and stay for more than 70 years."
He reflected on the Duke's life, career in the navy and dedication to his wife, Queen Elizabeth II.
"So we mourn today with Her Majesty The Queen, we offer our condolences to her and to all her family and we give thanks, as a nation and a Kingdom, for the extraordinary life and work of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh," Johnson said.
First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon offered condolences too, tweeting: "So we mourn today with Her Majesty The Queen, we offer our condolences to her and to all her family and we give thanks, as a nation and a Kingdom, for the extraordinary life and work of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh."

Leader of the British Labour Party, Keir Starmer posted: "The United Kingdom has lost an extraordinary public servant in Prince Philip. Prince Philip dedicated his life to our country—from a distinguished career in the Royal Navy during the Second World War to his decades of service as the Duke of Edinburgh."
