Hyderabad: In view of the rising Covid-19 in the state, K Chandrashekhar Rao, Prime Minister of Telangana, said that all front workers should be vaccinated and that the whole process should be completed within a week.
According to the office of the prime minister, Rao instructed the officials that the progress of vaccination should be reported to the CMO every day by the relevant heads of department.
‘The prime minister said collectors and other officials at district level should hold a video conference and start a special action for the vaccinations. He said to increase testing, RTPCR tests should be conducted in large numbers in all districts. The minister instructed the officials to make the RTPCR test kits available, ‘the CMO said.
It added that the Prime Minister had instructed the medical and health officials to set up testing centers in Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Khammam, Nirmal, Mancherial, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Jagtial, Pedapalli, Ramagundam, Bhongir, Jangaon and Vikarabad.
‘The prime minister urged people in Telangana to follow everyone Covid guidelines and be careful to limit the spread of the virus. He imposed a fine of Rs 1000 per person for not wearing masks and said that for the reduction of the Covid-19 pandemic, wearing masks must be strictly enforced, ”the CMO said.
Rao also suggested that people in corporations and municipalities should guard in crowded places like Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchel.
The Telangana Prime Minister held a review meeting with the medical and health officials on the Covid-19 situation in the state after his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the same on Thursday.
