Telefonica Peru to hike fixed broadband prices for first time in two years

Friday 9 April 2021 | 11:34 CET | News
Telefonica del Peru (Movistar) has informed customers of an imminent price hike in the price of its fixed broadband services, the first increase in around two years. In a statement, Peruvian telecommunications services regulator Osiptel said the price rise will amount to an average of USD 1.89 and will affect some 1.7 million Movistar customers. In January 2020 the watchdog ordered the operator to reverse an increase in the price of its fixed internet and convergent plans and reimburse the affected subscribers.
