Aaliyah's Mom Reacts to Death of Her Late Daughter's Friend DMX
The late singer Aaliyah‘s mom Diane Houghton has spoken out with a touching tribute to DMX.
For those that don’t know, Aaliyah and DMX worked together in the 2000 movie Romeo Must Die and they collaborated on a song for the film’s soundtrack. After her death, DMX honored her in the “Miss You” video.
Aaliyah died in August 2001 at the age of 22 in a plane crash.

After DMX died at the age of 50 on Friday (April 9), Aaliyah‘s mom shared a statement on Instagram.
“Earl you had and still have a heart of gold. You and Baby Girl will meet again with all the beautiful people we have lost. Will never forget your kindness. NEVER! Blessing to your family! Eternally!” she said in the statement.
