    Stock market update: 94 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

    Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 1.05 points up at 14874.85 on Friday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: TCS, Ambuja Cements, Dabur India, Emami, Infosys, L&T Technology Services, MindTree, NMDC, Persistent Systems, Persistent Systems, Sobha and UltraTech Cement.

    Overall, 25 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 25 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

    In the Nifty 50 index, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Tata Motors, HUL and Titan Company were among top gainers, while Bajaj Finance, UPL, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement and JSW Steel were trading in red.

    The BSE Sensex was trading 6.66 points up at 49752.87. Traders were seen piling up position in Sugar, Metals - Ferrous, Gems and Jewellery, Glass and Miscellaneous sectors, while selling were visible in Power, Tyres, Term Lending Institutions, Beverages - Alcoholic and Banks sectors.
