#Kolkata: BJP All India President Amit Shah today retaliated against Trinamool (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee’s ‘siege’ of the CRPF. He claimed that his frustration was evident from what Mamata had said about the force.

Mamata Banerjee has been constantly accusing the central forces since the day of the second round of elections (West Bengal Assembly Election 2021). He claimed that the central forces were influencing the people to vote for the BJP.

Speaking at an election rally in Kochbihar on Wednesday, Mamata said, “If the CRPF causes unrest, women should come forward and stop the CRPF. Defeat the BJP’s conspiracy.” The Gerua camp has claimed that this comment is provocative. The Election Commission sent another notice to Mamata for this comment.

Reacting to the remarks at a press conference on Friday, Amit Shah said, “The frustration is evident from Mamata’s remarks about the army. I have never heard such a statement in my political life. No chief minister can say such a thing.” Shah also claimed that Mamata’s remarks were provoking people and pushing them towards anarchy.

Amit Shah said, “Mamata does not want a peaceful vote. The CRPF is not under the Home Ministry now. The CRPF is under the commission during the polls. Mamata will attack the forces knowing the rate is certain.”

Amit Shah made another promise at a press conference on the same day. The Election Commission had on Wednesday sent a notice to Mamata for her comments on Muslim voters. However, in the wake of the notice, Mamata growled, “I will give the same answer even if I am given 10 notices. And Narendra Modi is doing Hindu-Muslim every day. When the Nandigram candidate is saying Mini Pakistan, where is the commission?”
