Rozee makes an impact
Connor Rozee was battling a corked thigh in the first term but he has made a good start to the second quarter as he helped force a free kick against Dylan Grimes in the Tigers’ defence before he went back and kicked the goal.
He doesn’t look 100 per cent but that goal could prove priceless.
Power up 34-27 with 13 minutes until half-time.
Sloppy start but Motlop goals
Both sides missed good chances at goal to start this second term but neither could convert.
Finally Port pushed into their forward line and the ball was eventually sent towards Motlop who kicked his second goal with a lovely set shot.
Power lead 28-27 with 13 minutes left to Q2.
QT: Richmond 4.2 (26) v Port Power (3.3 (21)
Richmond holds a tight lead at quarter-time over the Power but there is nothing in this match after one quarter.
Both sides are ripping in physically and then looking to run in numbers and kick fast to advantage.
This is AFL at its best.

Richmond responds
The Power should have known that Dusty would be drifting forward and the great man won a marking contest with Lachie Jones and then found a moving Jayden Short who happily booted home a goal.

Duursma ties it up
Xavier Duursma has goaled from close range after some torrid pressure from the Power and a lovely looping handball assists from Butters.
Both sides are up and away although Richmond will want to respond.
Tied 20-20 with three minutes until QT.
Motlop gives Power life
Steven Motlop has kicked a goal for the Power drifting forward and converting from close range, the home side could be further ahead if Mitch Georgiades didn’t miss his set shot for goal.
This is settling into a cracking contest.
Tigers up 20-14 with three minutes until QT.
Dangerous play from Ross
Richmond’s Jack Ross made a bad decision on that last play electing to push his Power opponent after the player had been forced out of bounds.
His push saw the Power player topple into the boundary hoarding at speed, luckily it appears he just was shaken up and received a free kick.
Ross was apologetic but it was a reckless act. He needs to show better duty of care to his opponents.
Also Power’s Connor Rozee has been on the bench trying to prove his fitness after appearing to be shaken up early in the match.
Bolton marks, snaps from pocket
The Tigers are roaring in Adelaide once again as they have burst through the midfield and found Shai Bolton free in the left forward pocket.
Bolton took his time, shaped up and then kicked a banana kick through the middle of the goals.
Tigers up 20-7 with seven minutes left in Q1.
Riewoldt kicks a goal
Jack Riewoldt is on the board for this evening after converting from about 40 metres out.
Dusty Martin played a key role in the setup and he is fast taking over this contest.
Danger signs for the Power.
Tigers up 14-6 with 11 minutes left in Q1.
Lambert responds for Tigers
The Tigers absorbed a lot of pressure before forcing a turnover and pushing it forward where Kane Lambert expertly rovered the pack and then neatly snapped his first goal for the night.
Lambert proved the match-winner, or one of them, in last year’s preliminary final and tonight he’s picked up where he left off.
