Haryana govt orders closure of schools till April 30 for classes up to Class 8

In view of a major spike in coronavirus cases, the Haryana government on Friday ordered closure of schools till April 30 for classes up to Class 8.

Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar made the announcement in this regard in Chandigarh today.

With 2,872 new positive cases, Haryana recorded the highest spike in coronavirus cases in the last four months on Thursday.

Khattar said that the government was trying to ensure there was no panic and life continued as normal despite the recent COVID-19 spike.

He said that the situation would be analysed city wise and all necessary precautions would be taken.
