Physics Academy of North East (PANE)

Physics Academy of North East was established on April 6, 1998, at IIT (Indian Institute of Techonology) Guwahati, and inaugurated in a meeting held in the Institute. The Academy was the brainchild of a gathering of eminent physicists of North East India, on November 11, 1997, at IIT Guwahati, celebrating hundred years of discovery of electron.

PANE is functioning from its Head Office at Gauhati University since its inception.
