BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 8: As a part of college week of Biswanath College, a wall magazine competition was organized among various departments of the college on Thursday. A total of 18 departments of the college took part in the competition where Swapna Bora Das, principal of Chariali Higher Secondary and MP School as well as AnjanBaskota, SahityaAkademi’s Young Writers award winner, graced as judges. Earlier, a felicitation programme was also carried out.

DrChintamoniSarma, principal of the college addressed the gathering and briefed about various activities that had been carried out for all round development of the student’s fraternity. Both the judges also delivered motivational speeches to encourage students in creative art. The History department of the college bagged the first position while the Assamese and Physics department bagged the second and third positions respectively. The Chemistry department of the college was awarded a special prize by the jury members.
