Supreme Court Order in Delhi:
” A person traveling in a vehicle or car, even if he is alone, can be exposed to the virus in different ways. The person may have visited a market, a workplace or a hospital or a busy street before entering the car or vehicle. Such persons may be required to keep windows open for ventilation. The vehicle may also be required to be stopped at a traffic signal, and the person may purchase any product by scrolling through the window. The person may therefore be exposed to a street vendor. If someone is driving alone in the car, the status is not permanent. This is merely a temporary phase. There may be other occupants in the car before the said phase and after the said phase. There may be elderly family members or children who can be picked up at school, or even just friends or colleagues may be driving in the car in the immediate future. Such persons may also be exposed to the virus if the occupant has not worn the mask. The droplets that carry the virus can infect others even after a few hours after the occupant has released the same. There are various possibilities in which one can simply sit on the outside world while sitting in the car. Thus, it cannot be said that the car would only be a public place because the person is traveling alone in a car.
