PM Modi proposes to act as ‘Tika Utsav’ from 11 to 14 April

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that a challenging situation has arisen as a result of COVID-19 and encouraged states to compile the test.

The chairman of a meeting with prime ministers on the COVID-19 situation in the country, he said that many states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Punjab have crossed the peak of the first wave with regard to COVID-19 matters and it was a matter of serious concern.

He said the period between April 11 and April 14 can be seen as Tika (vaccination) Utsav ‘for COVID-19 vaccination.

” A challenging situation arises again. We have to fight the second boom in cases. Many states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, have crossed the first wave of peak COVID-19 incidents. This is a serious concern. People became complacent. “In most states, the administration has also become relaxed,” he said.

‘I appeal to all of you to put some effort into COVID19 testing. Our goal is to perform 70 percent RT-PCR tests. Let the number of positive cases increase, but do maximum tests, ”he added.

The Prime Minister said that April 11 is the birthday of Jyotiba Phule and April 14 is the birthday of BR Ambedkar.

“Can we do a mass vaccination program from April 11-14 for qualifying people with no waste and make optimal use of our resources?” he asked.

The Prime Minister said that people should not become careless after taking the COVID-19 vaccine.
