Covid-19: NCP chief Sharad Pawar says ‘Centre is cooperating’, while BJP claims back that the statement doesn’t make any ‘political meaning’
NCP Chief has assured the people of Maharashtra that the centre is cooperating with the state in order to tackle the Covid situation.

On Thursday, April 8, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that the central government is cooperating with the state government to tackle the present Covid-19 scenario. Pawar said, “Centre is cooperating with State govt. in this tough time of the pandemic. We all have to come together and fight this menace. State and centre both have to find out a way to fight the pandemic,” quotes news agency ANI.

In addition to this, in a live address on Facebook, Sharad Pawar said that he had spoken to the Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday, and was assured by him that the Centre will support Maharashtra and other states to combat the ongoing crisis.
But, on the other hand, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil hits back to the statement and said that the statement by NCP chief doesn’t make any political sense, rather it makes an academing meaning. Patil said, “I don’t know what the political meaning of this statement is but the academic meaning of that is centre is given all possible support to system. Central governement gave over 1 crore vaccine dosages but several dosages were wasted, why so?” as quoted by ANI.

Though, on Wednesday, the Union Health Minister saw red over Maharashtra and several other states. Vardhan accused them of keeping the failures under wraps with deplorable attempts along with irresponsible statements made to distract the masses from the actual issue.
Well, the state has been struggling with nefarious conditions. The Maharashtra government has announced a slew of restrictions which comprises night curfews as well as complete lockdowns on weekends.
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has already made it a point that the government won’t rule out lockdown if the current Covid situation does not cease to stay. Again, Maharashtra has reported 59,907 new cases which is being considered as the highest spike ever in the state.
