ReutersNEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 02:46PM (IST) on Thursday.
Shares of Natco Pharma (up 6.77 per cent), Jindal Steel & Power (up 6.62 per cent), Steel Authority of India (up 6.07 per cent), NAMINDIA (up 5.95 per cent) and PI Industrial (up 4.96 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Adani Transmissions (down 5.0 per cent), Future Retail (down 2.9 per cent), Vodafone Idea (down 2.56 per cent), Adani Power (down 2.2 per cent) and Crisil (down 2.12 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.58 per cent up at 20773.57 around 02:46PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 66.75 points at 14885.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 125.04 points at 49786.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Trident Ltd, BHEL and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of HEG, JSW Steel, Prism Johnson , Metropolis Health and Graphite India hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Chandrima Mercantiles, Interactive Financial Services, Srestha Finvest, VMV Holidays, CHD Chemicals, Otco International, Suncare Traders, Mega Nirman & Industries, Pecos Hotels & Pubs and Provestment Services hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
