Demand time frame to book Lamhainamdi incident
Kohima, 24th March 202
Condemnation
The Naga People’s Front vehemently condemned the brutal killing of three persons belonging to Zeliang community who were allegedly murdered by unidentified armed miscreants on 22 March evening at Lamhainamdi village in Peren district.
Such merciless inhuman killing of innocent lives is not acceptable in the society and rightful punishment should be awarded to the killer/killers.
It is learnt that the situation within that vicinity is tense since the past days and so had the present PDA Government been more sincere and vigilant, such situation could be averted or should we consider that we Nagas are living in perilous times where we are not safe in our own land.
The party while appreciating the state Government for setting up Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case had demanded the Government to give specific time duration to its people to settle the matter and book the culprit. The NPF also challenged the State Government that if the case was not brought to light during that specific time frame, their Home Minister should resign on moral ground.
The NPF questioned whether the PDA Government is aware of the many random killing, extortion, corruption and many other criminal activities were upscale in the state, or whether they consider this unrest in the state as a trend to be ignored?
However, the NPF also reminded the Government that it is their duty to provide security as well as to deliver justice to its people.
Therefore, the NPF strongly demanded the State Government Law Enforcing Agencies to look into the recent killing incident of Lamhainamdi village with utmost sincerity and book the culprits and deliver justice to the victims within a time frame period.
Meanwhile, the NPF also conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and pray that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
