IT-giant,
Wipro has appointed former Walmart and Paypal executive Subha Tatavarti as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Tatavarti has over two decades of experience in Technology, spanning across product development, delivery, lifecycle management, cloud computing services, data technology and analytics.

At Wipro, Tatavarti will lead the company's Service Transformation, Topcoder, Robotics, SVIC, Technovation Centre, Open Innovation and Applied Research teams.
Before joining Wipro, Tatavarti was part of US-led offline retail giant Walmart, where she led product, technology development and commercialization of Enterprise Infrastructure along with Security, Data Science and Edge platforms.
Notably, before Walmart, Tatavarti led the Product, Data & Infrastructure Platform at PAYPAL.
At Paypal, Tatavarti's focus there was to drive transformation through scalable, API-driven interoperable platforms. Her portfolio of products included Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) platforms powered by Notebooks, Data Integration platform, Data Catalog and Data ALM. She was instrumental in simplifying the data and analytics infrastructure, besides pioneering modernization initiatives across cloud, developer platforms and frameworks.
Other career experiences of Tatavarti also includes building solutions across large enterprises including Abbott Labs, Fannie Mae and Bearing Point.
She holds a Masters in Computer Science and lives in the Bay Area in San Francisco, USA.
At around 11.19 am, Wipro was trading at Rs440.65 per piece up by 0.6% on Sensex.
