Hyderabad: Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, said on Thursday that since the formation of the state, the Telangana government has had the highest priority for employment and maintaining transparency in recruitment for government posts.
To date, 1.3 vacancies in the government have been filled and another 15 vacations have been created in the private sector by attracting investors in the state, he said.
The Minister spoke after submitting letters of appointment to 93 candidates appointed as managers in Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Rioling Board.
The minister said there is something special about government work and it should be used to provide service to quality people.
“You have to work with dedication and leave a mark in the workplace and never endanger the service to people”, Rama Rao advised the new recruits.
He wanted all the recruits to work honestly and with a vision. “You got this government job without issuing a rupee, and you also have to serve people without expecting or accepting a single rupee,” he said.
“Take this job as a challenge and work on developing HMWSSB with innovative ideas and work,” he said, congratulating him on securing the job.
