Three unidentified terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Thursday, security forces said. "Three unidentified terrorists killed in the Shopian encounter. Operation is going on," the police said. Two armymen were also injured in the encounter at the Jan Mohalla in Shopian town.
A police official said that two army soldiers were injured in an ongoing operation and have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
The gunfight began on Thursday afternoon after a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about the presence of terrorists.
