Aurangabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Central Team Head and Associate Professor, Department of Jan Aushadhi, Madhya Pradesh, Dr Abhijeet Pakhare on Thursday reviewed measures being taken by the district administration to check the surge in coronavirus infections.
During review meeting at Collectorate, Dr Pakhare suggested that treatment of patients in home segregation needs to be properly monitored.
Similarly, treatment by private hospitals at the rate fixed by the government is mandatory and needs to be controlled and suggested to be done more effectively, he said.
District Collector Sunil Chavan, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Dr Mangesh Gondawale, Deputy Director of Health Swapnil Lale, Resident Deputy Collector Sanjeev Jadhav, Deputy Collector Rita Metrewar, District Health Officer Dr Sudhakar Shelke, District Immunisation Officer Dr Vijay Wagh, Municipal Health Officer Dr Nita Padalkar and District Surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni, among others were present.
Mr Chavan apprised Dr Pakhare of number of preventive measures being taken to check the spread of the disease in the district.
The administration has set up 26 containment zones in urban areas and 78 in rural areas to stem the disease, Mr Chavan add ed.
