Hyderabad sees a slight drop in mercury

Hyderabad: With a respite from humid weather conditions with mercury that has mostly driven about 40 degrees Celsius over the past one week, daytime temperatures in the city on Thursday showed a drop.

As the city woke up from cloudy weather, the temperature remained around 37.5 degrees Celsius during the afternoon. However, night temperatures increase with a minimum temperature of 27.3 degrees Celsius the night before, which is three degrees above normal.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) attributed the prevailing weather conditions to a trough running from inland Tamil Nadu to northern Karnataka. Southwestern and southwestern countries dominate primarily over the state, he said.
