Appeal for assistance to victims of military coup of Myanmar
27th March 202
Appeal the government of India and Manipur to provide necessary humanitarian assistance to the victims of military coup of Myanmar
Youth’s Forum for Protection of Human Rights (YFPHR) strongly condemn the inhumane treatment committed by the Military of Myanmar which killed more than 300 civilians in Myanmar.
Since the military coup in Myanmar, large number of civilians are searching to take shelter in safer places in various part of Myanmar and to their neighboring countries.
We could observe large number of civilians from Myanmar are taking shelter in border town of Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram of India for which a strong humanitarian assistance is required for their protection as being a largest democratic country in the world.
In most of the instances during conflict women, children, elderly people and differently abled are the most vulnerable and need proper care and protection.
We, therefore, appeal the government of India and Manipur to provide all the necessary humanitarian assistance to the victims of military coup and civilians who are taking shelter for their lives in Manipur and other border states of India to Myanmar in collaboration with the Civil Society Organizations of the states.
Lastly, YFPHR will also extend Humanitarian Assistance for the victims and civilians who are taking shelter and YFPHR stands in solidarity with the suffering people of Myanmar.
