Shares of General Insurance Company Ltd. traded 1.43 per cent up at Rs 1446.85 at around 11:33AM (IST) on Wednesday. The stock had closed at Rs 1426.5 in the previous session. Equity benchmark Sensex traded 592.1 points higher at 49793.49 around the same time.

Promoters held 51.89 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2020, while overseas investor and mutual funds' ownership stood at 29.44 per cent and 10.23 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials
For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 452.05 crore, down 16.47 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 541.19 crore and down 3.52 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 436.69 crore. The company reported net profit of Rs 313.53 crore for the latest quarter.
