Hyderabad: Minister of IT and Industry, KT Rama Rao, described the overflowing tanks and streams in the state of Telangana on Wednesday as an appropriate response to opponents who questioned the purpose of the formation of the Telangana state.
He shared photos of an overcrowded Mustabad tank filled with water from the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme with people enjoying themselves in the waters.
‘Here is an appropriate answer to those who asked what people would achieve in a separate Telangana state. With the water released from the Kaleshwaram project, the Mustabad tank overflows and gives it a lot of joy. The region that once struggled for water was now witnessing overcrowded tanks, streams and rivets that were full, ‘he tweeted.
