Mahima Chaudhary reveals she was cast by Ram Gopal Varma in Satya and was replaced without being informed, says, “I was humiliated.”
Actress Mahima Chaudhary has talked about her experience of being replaced in Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya.

Actress Mahima Chaudhary has revealed how she came to know she was replaced in Satya through the press. She said she felt very hurt she was not informed about the replacement. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, she was offered Satya while she was doing her debut movie ‘Pardes’.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she said, “When I was doing Pardes, I was offered Satya. Mr Ram Gopal Varma met me and said ‘I’m doing this very small film that I want to prepare quickly. It’s about a gangster, and there’s no part for a girl.”
She also revealed that she was impressed with the story. She took on the project despite the Pardes movie director Subhash Ghai advising against the same. She talked about how insulted she felt when she started talking about Satya during her interviews and press meet but learned that the shoot of the movie had already started with another actor.
“He didn’t even think it was important to call me, or call my manager and say ‘we changed our mind’. I was humiliated, I was insulted, I took it badly,” she added.
Satya starred Urmila Matondkar, Manjo Bajpayee and JD Chakravarthy.
