Oppo Reno 5 Z launched: Check price, specs, and features

Oppo has launched a new smartphone under its Reno series. Called Reno 5 Z, the phone is currently available in Singapore. It is priced at about $395 ( 29,000 approx.) and comes in Fluid Black and Cosmo Blue colour options. There is no word on the availability of the handset in other markets as yet.

Oppo Reno 5 Z features and specifications

Oppo Reno 5 Z comes with a 6.4-inch display with an AMOLED panel, full HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 60Hz refresh rate. The display also supports up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. There is also an on-screen fingerprint reader. Overall, the phone measures 160.1 x 73.4 x 7.8mm and weighs around 173 grams.

For performance, Oppo Reno 5 Z runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U processor. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM (LPDDR4x) and 128GB of built-in storage. It also has a microSD card slot that supports expandable storage. On the software front, it runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1.

It also packs a 4,310mAh battery with 30W VOOC Flash Charge support. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, NFC, 5G, and dual-SIM.

In the photography department, the phone has a quad-camera setup on the back. The configuration includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Recently Oppo launched a Reno 5 F handset. Priced at 21,000 approximately (currency conversion), Reno 5 F has a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It comes with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree field-of-view, a macro sensor, and a mono camera.

The smartphone comes with a 4,310mAh battery with support for a 30W VOOC flash charge 4.0. Its connectivity options are dual nano-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software front, Oppo Reno 5 F offers ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
