This is what Nawazuddin Siddiqui has to say about reports of reconciliation with wife Aaliya

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's private life became fodder for gossip columnists and rumour mongers after his wife Aaliya send him a divorce notice and began washing dirty linens in public. The accusations began early last year which have continued up till a few weeks back. From accusing him of rape and cheating to neglecting their children, Aaliya levelled many allegations on her husband. But now, Nawazuddin's estranged wife seems to have changed her mind. As per reports, Aaliya has withdrawn her request for getting a divorce. When the actor was asked to react on the same, he said, 'I have not spoken about it previously and will not do it now.' For the unversed, this change of heart reportedly happened owing to many reasons, one of which is that when Aaliya tested COVID-19 positive, the actor had taken good care of her and their kids. Last year, while filing the divorce case and seeking maintenance as well as sole custody of children, Aaliya also registered an FIR against her husband's brother Shamas and reportedly accused him of hitting and molesting her. However, Shamas denied all the accusations made by Aaliya and claimed it to be false and baseless. He even posted multiple tweets in his defense while adding that he would approach Bombay High Court over the matter. In an exclusive interaction with Etimes, Aaliya had recently talked about the decision to stay together at length and what changed between her and her estranged husband. She said, 'My daughter Shora, son Yaani and I are at Nawaz's farmhouse in Kasara. I am expecting him here, soon.' Aaliyah further talked about the withdrawal of the divorce petition and said, 'To begin with, I reiterate that we decided to put our egos aside and think together about the welfare of Shora and Yaani. Our daughter in particular is very close to her father. She has now told me that she is delighted that all's well that ends well.' At the same time, things between Aaliyah and her brother-in-law Shamas has also been resolved.
