THANE: Two persons have been booked for flouting Covid safety norms while organising a marriage function at an open ground in Ghodbunder Road on Monday.
Senior inspector at Kasarwadavli police station Kishore Khairnar said that they had received information about a marriage function being held at Bhayenderpada on Monday. When a team visited the spot, they found that people were flouting safety rules, following which the family members of the bride were booked.
"There were over 125 guests at the function and most were not wearing a mask. Nor was there any sanitising facility at the venue. We booked the father of the bride and a relative. No arrests have been made yet," said Khairnar.
