What's Included In The Technical Alpha?
The Diablo 2: Resurrected Technical Alpha is a single-player test that features Acts 1 and 2 from the game's story. Though cinematics are being updated for the final release, the original game's cinematics are included as placeholders for the time being. The test requires an online connection, though Blizzard said offline play (with periodic update checks) will be possible in the final game.
Seven classes are included in the full game, and three of them are playable in the Technical Alpha: Amazon, Barbarian, and Sorcerer. The others will be included in later tests, however. There is also no level cap, so you can go wild.
