Hunk Jason Statham and Snatch director Guy Ritchie are reuniting for Wrath of Man, the official trailer for the same it out.
Ritchie is well-known for his witty screenplays, however, Wrath of Man isn’t an original production but rather a remake of the 2004 French film Le Convoyeur (Cash Truck). It is Ritchie’s fourth directorial collaboration with lead actor Jason Statham, following Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Snatch (2000), and Revolver (2005).
The film was written by Ritchie, along with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies.
In Wrath of Man, Statham stars as a security guard named Harry, aka H, who gets recruited for a heist in Los Angeles. When the plan goes wrong, H unleashes his scorn and takes control of the situation, which leads to revelations about his mysterious past.
Based on the Wrath of Man trailer, the film will have a scorched-earth narrative about a man who seeks revenge for the death of his son. The film also stars Josh Hartnett, Holt McCallany, Niamh Algar, Scott Eastwood, Jeffrey Donovan, and Laz Alonso.
Wrath of Man is scheduled for a May 7, 2021 theatrical release.
