Gmail for Android receives new swipe action animations

Google has updated its Gmail app with new Swipe gesture animations. The new swipe animation gives users a clear perspective of the actions happening.
Though Gmail already has colour-coded swipes and each action is also accompanied by a different colour. The addition of animations to the actions has made things much clearer.
As per 9to5Google’s report, the mark as a rear swipe now shows a folding envelope. Similarly, the Archive action moves the arrow into a box. Delete action raises the bin’s lid and snooze spins the clock.
The new animations are now available in the Gmail app for Android. Users will need to download version 2021.03.07 or above to get this feature. The swipe animations are not yet available for the iOS version of the app.
Meanwhile, Google has recently integrated the Chats and Rooms option to all Gmail users. The integration was earlier only available for enterprise Gmail users, however, with the recent rollout, Google has rolled out the update for regular users as well.
After the rollout, Gmail users will also see four tabs under Gmail -- Chat, Mail, Meet and Rooms.
The feature is available on both desktop versions of Gmail accounts and the Gmail app.
On the Gmail app, you will find all the four options at the button ribbon, while on desktop, there’s a dedicated section for each on the left sidebar.
Users can also enable the Chats option by heading the Gmail settings from their desktop and mobile app.
