Can anyone legitimately tell me how this law makes it harder for blacks and poor folk to vote?
I'm being 100% serious here as I keep seeing so much conflicting information like the laws open up more opportunities for early voting and additional drop boxes for faciliting mail-in voting. I also hear that you need a more specific form of voter ID, but I don't understand why or how that's a legitimately limiting factor to your right to vote. I've also heard that they can't pass out food or water within 150 feet of the polling place -- so okay, set up a food & water station in the parking lot? I'm just looking for a legitimate explanation -- as it is impossible to discuss this in person without people getting emotional as all hell and honestly I don't have the time nor patience to try to deal with people getting emotional over a simple discussion.
