Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian idol 12 is gearing up for a truly melodious and soulful weekend this time, with AR Rahman set to grace the popular singing reality show as a special guest. After all, when the Mozart of Madras is in the house you just know that the music is going to be raised by several notches. Keeping that in mind, the contestants will be seen dishing out their best yet to impress AR Rahman while the judges, Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani, too, will be seen having a blast in his company. For his part, the Oscar winner will be sharing many interesting antidotes about his career and music with everyone on set. During the show, host Rithvik Dhanjani (who's filing in for Aditya Narayan as he convalesces from coronavirus), will be seen asking AR Rahman about the kind of genres he likes to listen to himself, and the music maestro not only answers his query, but also reveals the names of one of the show's contestants along with that of her sister, whom he loves listening to in order to relax his mind. “Whenever I am tired or free, I listen to classical songs of Anjali Gaikwad and her sister, Nandani. I have listened to them on YouTube and even, she (Anjali) had sung playback in my film, Sachin: A Billion Dreams. I wish the both of them all the very best for their future.” Also Read - SCARY! Overwhelmed by AR Rahman's gracious words, Anjali Gaikwad responded, “It was my honour to sing a song like Mard Maratha for the film, Sachin: A Billion Dreams with AR Ameen (AR Rahman's son). It feels blessed that God has arrived on the set, who is nurturing me on such a big platform. I am feeling overwhelmed and motivated and this will also encourage me to perceive my singing career by working hard to get more chances as such.”
