Tanzanian government agrees to extend fibre backbone to Mozambique

The Tanzanian government has signed a contract worth TZS 2.4 billion to expand Tanzania's National ICT Broadband Backbone to Mozambique, The Citizen reported. The project includes the construction of the fibre-optic layout, power and transmission equipment, the mechanical building, guard booth and fireplace. ICT Minister Faustine Ndugulile told The Citizen that the funds have been issued by the Tanzania government for construction of the project.
