IPL 2021: In Quarantine Punjab Kings Chris Gayle goes very serious about training for IPL 2021, Check Video– Punjab Kings star batsman Chris Gayle has doubled his preparation for IPL 2021. He was seen training hard in a small video, shared on Twitter, in which the self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ was seen working out with the popular music of Punjabi Daddy in the background. “Wack We a Wack! #Quarantine #India #IPL #PunjabiDaddy,” he captioned the clip. 

He is currently under 7-day mandatory quarantine at the team hotel in Mumbai.

As per BCCI’s SOPs for IPL 2021, all players (except for those from the India-England series), support staff, and management entering the bubble need to undergo a seven-day quarantine in their hotel rooms. Every individual will be tested multiple times during this period, and upon returning the negative results, they will be allowed to come out of their rooms and commence outdoor training and practice sessions.

On the work front, Chris Gayle will be next seen in action for Punjab Kings. The self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ will look for another cracker of a season in IPL 2021. KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings will play their opening match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 12. They will play their first two matches in Mumbai.

Chris Gayle is one of the legends of IPL. He has achieved numerous records like the fastest century, highest individual record, most sixes, to name a few. He is on the cusp of completing 5,000 runs in the cash-rich league. He has scored 4,772 runs in 132 matches at an average of 41+. It includes 6 tons (most in the tournament) and 31 fifties. In IPL 2020, he had scored 288 runs in just 7 matches.
