Man says no party, friends beat him up

Gurgaon: A youth was thrashed by his friends for refusing to throw a party after buying a two-wheeler. The man —identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Laxman Vihar-1, was asked by his friend —Anil — to give a party which Ravi refused saying he had some financial crunch.
On April 4, Anil called up Ravi and asked him to meet. Ravi met Anil in Laxman Vihar when two more persons — Pawan and Shivan — joined them. They started to abuse Ravi for not giving a party which led to an argument. “I asked Anil why are they abusing me, which made him angry and they started thrashing me with sticks and also threatened to kill me,” said Ravi.
On the basis of Ravi’s complaint, an FIR has been registered under sections 323 (causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sector 9 police station. “Police are trying to track and nab the accused,” said police spokesperson Subhash Boken.
