"I've done action in fantasy. This was different because it was real," Angelina Jolie tells Entertainment Weekly about her new role.
The Academy Award winner stars in the Western thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead based on the novel by Michael Koryta.
The film directed by Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water, Wind River) centres on Hannah (Jolie), a smokejumper who comes across Connor (Finn Little), a teenager who is on the run from two assassins after witnessing a murder. Hannah and Connor have to outrun the hunters and wildfire threatening to consume them.

Speaking to People about her character, the 45-year-old shares that she (Hannah) has experienced tragedy, "She carries a lot of guilt, and is quite broken."
Angelina adds that while the story feels like a thriller "underneath, it's an emotional film about people who are thrown together to survive."
