Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker said that his side should take the positives out of pushing a team like Kaizer Chiefs all the way in an away 2-2 draw, but insisted they deserved more.
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo scored late on in the 85th minute to grab a late draw for Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium as the away side looked set on clinching an unlikely draw.
It was also the third consecutive match against a top side that Stellenbosch have conceded late to drop points from a winning position against Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United and now Kaizer Chiefs.
"There is obvious disappointment in leading the game twice and not seeing it through," Barker said Post-match.
"In the last three matches we've unfortunately conceded late to either not win the game or allow a team to get a draw.
"One can either look at the glass half full than empty and say that we're disappointed and it's not good enough.
"Or we can look at it in a different way as in that two seasons ago we were in the NFD ... as much as we are disappointed we have to look at the positives from tonight's situation.
"But what is disappointing is that we are getting close but we cannot just cross that fine line of getting over the finishing line.
"I think we've also deserved more in all three matches. It's hurting us extremely and something we're mindful of."
Stellenbosch next welcome the in-form AmaZulu to the Cape in a league clash on Friday.
Kick-off is at 17:00.
