No change in petrol, diesel prices for a full week

New Delhi: Fuel prices in the country remained unchanged on Tuesday, while oil marketing companies continued the break-even mode and kept the price of petrol and diesel unchanged for seven consecutive days.

As a result, the pump price of petrol and diesel remained at 90.56 and 80.87 liters per liter in the capital on the previous days, respectively.

Petrol and diesel fell by 22 paisa and 23 paisa per liter respectively on Tuesday last week after the global weakening of oil prices. OMCs have decided to interrupt the price review as they want to look at the crude price movement which has now fallen to around $ 62.5 a barrel to stay above this level for most of the past week.

Across the country, gasoline and diesel prices remained static on Tuesday, but retail levels differed depending on local levies in the respective countries.

In Mumbai, petrol still remains 96.98 liters per liter and diesel 87.96 liters per liter. However, premium petrol remains more than Rs 100 per liter in the city, as is the case in several cities in the country.

The OMCs continued to cut prices for the first time in two consecutive days – March 24 and 25, after keeping oil prices stable for the past 24 days. This lowered the price again on 30 March. Thereafter, fuel prices remained unchanged.
