State Covid Task Force takes stock

Imphal, April 05 2021: A meeting of the State Covid Task Force and State Steering Committee for COVID-19 Vaccine Administration was convened on April 1 at the conference hall of Old Secretariat chaired by Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur.

During the meeting the Chief Secretary highlighted the alarming trend of fresh Covid cases in many States and later a powerpoint presentation was made by the State Immunization Officer highlighting the district wise current status of Covid vaccination in the State.

After thorough deliberations, the meeting took the following resolutions -to construct a testing shed in the parking area at Imphal Airport to facilitate smooth Covid testing and Director of Health Services to inspect Covid/Isolation wards in all districts and prepare report indicating number of beds, ventilators, pulse oxymeters, manpower etc by April 15.Director of RIMS and JNIMS to submit a report on their respective Covid/Isolation wards and ensure all arrangements are in full readiness while all DCs and Police Department to ensure strict enforcement of wearing mask at all public places and all HoDs to ensure the same in all Government offices.

Further District Task Force for Covid Vaccination to meet daily so that unvaccinated HCWs/FLWs are covered on an urgent basis and departments concerned especially Social Welfare, Revenue, RD and PR to mobilize the unvaccinated staff.
