Similarly, Makkal Needhi Maiam chief kamal haasan, his daughters shruti haasan and akshara haasan stand in a queue as they await their turn to cast vote. They waited in the queue for around 15 minutes to cast their vote and after casting their votes at chennai High school, Teynampet in chennai they showed their inked fingers to the media. kamal haasan is standing as a candidate in the Coimbatore south assembly constituency.


Actress Sri priya who is also a party member of Makkal Neethi Maiam cast her vote in the same polling booth. She also stood in the line before casting her vote. kamal haasan after casting his vote told the media they can expect a change as people have come in large numbers to cast their votes. shruti haasan and akshara haasan campaigned for their father before the elections.
