Conversations With Paint Dealers In Pune: ICICI Securities Insight

Though there is sharp increase in Covid-19 cases in Pune and there are some additional restrictions, there is negligible impact on paint demand till now.

That’s the insight from our conversations with dealers in Pune. They told us -

1. the paint market has grown at ~15-20% post Diwali. According to dealers, Pune is a large market for value-for-money paints, however, demand for premium emulsions is also steadily rising.

2. While there are no additional trade schemes, the dealers expect some schemes on waterproofing products in April 2021 i.e. before the commencement of season,

3. Due to fear of lockdown, the dealers don’t plan to up-stock the inventory before the price hikes.
