Sooryavanshi release Yet Again Pushed Ahead with Lockdown Returning in Mumbai
It’s bad luck again for the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer film Sooryavanshi as it is ready to release for the past one year. The cop drama film by Rohit Shetty has been suffering due to the Covid surge since past year. It was ready to release last year in this month, however, the Janta Curfew announced by the Indian Government led to the delay of the movie. The theatres were shut down and when it opened a few months back, it had the low occupancy rule that did not attract the audience in a big way.
Akshay Kumar’s fans have been waiting for this cop drama for the past one year and they were expecting to catch the film on 30th April as they have decided earlier, however, with the surge of Covid 19, it is expected to delay its release. They have now pushed the date of its release and it is not happening as yet. With the lockdown announced by the CM Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, we see this development coming into the picture.
The makers also had a meeting with Mr. Thackeray and then Rohit Shetty pushed the date, which made the CM applaud the same. The film is supposed to hit the screens on 23rd March earlier and then they pushed it to 30th April. Now, with the second wave returning, we see the makers pushing the film away ahead than expected. The film also has Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn who were there with Rohit Shetty in his earlier cop dramas – Simmba and Singham respectively.
