Deadly remains of tortured CRPF jawan reach Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The remains of the constant Sakhamuri Murali Krishna, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who was tortured in an attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh on Saturday, reached Hyderabad airport late Monday night.

The body of Murali Krishna was later transported by road to his hometown of Gudipudi in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.

He was one of the two CRPF Javanese from Andhra Pradesh who were tortured along with 20 others in an exchange of fire with the extremists of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in the forests of Bijapur in Chhattisgarh.

The body of Murali Krishna, who was 210 Cobra Ballasts, the elite Anti-Naxalite Force of CRPF, reached Hyderabad Airport around midnight with Indigo Flight 6E 624.

VC Sajjanar, Cyberabad Police Commissioner, paid tribute to Murali Krishna in the presence of CRPF and Telangana State Police Officers.

Sajjanar said the Telangana police force is standing with the family of Murali Krishna. All the police officers present brought greetings and had two minutes of silence for the brave, deceased soul.

Sajjanar, who conveyed his condolences to the officer’s family, said the relevant authorities had made arrangements for the family to travel to his home country. The body was transported to his native Guidpudi Village in Guntur district where his final rites would be performed.

There were Deputy Collector Prateek Jain, DIG GC-CRPF Rajkumar Agarwal, DIG GC – CRPF Sallauddin, CRPF DIG GC Rangareddy Brajesh Singh, CRPF Commander Meena, CRPF Commander Dharamprakash and other officials.
