Why celebrate World Health Day 2021?
This year, the Health Day is set aside for the cause of nurses and midwives. Fact is that, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Nurses and other health workers are at the forefronts, providing respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and are also collecting data for clinical studies, in some cases.
Without the help of nurses, there would be no response. On this World Health Day, WHO has sought to highlight the current status of nursing around the world. The organisation, along with its partners, will be making a series of recommendations to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforces.
