NEW DELHI : Amitabh Bachchan has replaced late actor Rishi Kapoor in the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood film ‘The Intern’, which will also feature Deepika Padukone. Deepika took to her Instagram handle to make the announcement. She also shared the first look poster of the movie with her fans. The poster has Big B and Deepika’s names written in bold along with their silhouettes walking towards each other. She captioned the post, “What an absolute honour to be collaborating with one of my most special co-star again! Welcoming @amitabhbachchan to the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern.” Rishi had passed away last year after a two-year battle with cancer. This is not the first time that Big B and Deepika are coming together on screen. They have worked together earlier in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku. Apart from this, Big B and Deepika will also be seen reuniting on screen for Nag Ashwin’s untitled next. The film also stars Prabhas in the lead role.

NEW DELHI: Actor R. Madhavan, who will soon be making his directorial debut with the upcoming biopic Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, on Monday revealed that he had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi sometime back to speak about the forthcoming film.

The 3 Idiots actor took to his Instagram handle and shared pictures of his meeting with the Prime Minister, for which he had gone along with Nambi Narayanan, the person on whose life the movie is based on. Divulging details of his meetup, Madhavan wrote in the caption, “A few weeks ago, @NambiNOfficial and I had the honour of calling on PM @narendramodi. We spoke on the upcoming film #Rocketrythefilm and were touched and honoured by PM’s reaction to the clips and concern for Nambi ji & the wrong done to him. Thank you for the privilege sir.”

The pictures shared by the 50-year-old star showed him, Nambi, and PM Modi, sitting at a round table inside a conference room while maintaining social distancing due to the ongoing cOVID-19 pandemic.

NEW DELHI : It is going to be a long wait for movie buffs before they see Akshay Kumar in his much-awaited film Sooryavanshi as the film’s release date has been postponed again amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

The film that features Akshay and Katrina Kaif in the lead was set to get a theatrical release on 30 April. In ‘Sooryavanshi, Akshay will be seen portraying the role of a DSP, who unites with Devgn’s ‘Singham’ and Singh’s ‘Simmba’ to fight crime.

MUMBAI: Veteran actor Govinda, on Sunday has tested positive for Covid-19 and will remain under home quarantine, his spokesperson confirmed. His spokesperson shared, “Despite utmost precautions, unfortunately, Govinda Ahuja has tested positive for Covid-19. He has mild symptoms and is home quarantined.” Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja requested all those people who came in contact with him in the recent past, to get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Earlier in the day, Bollywood’s one of the fittest actor Akshay Kumar also informed that he had contracted Covid-19 and is currently ‘under home quarantine’.

NEW DELHI: Ayushmann Khurrana has come back to Mumbai from the Northeast with loads of special memories. Ayushmann shared, “I have always looked forward to discovering the unexplored. So, my trip to the Northeast truly touched my heart. I experienced so much beauty, love from people, character and diversity of our country that it will always remain one of the most special trips that helped me discover more about my beautiful country.” He added that words will always fall short if he has to describe the effect Northeast has had on him as it helped him learn something new about how incredible India is.

Ayushmann said, “I can’t wait to go back to the Northeast. I’m grateful that we could shoot ‘Anek’ so smoothly there. I was shooting a film for the first time in the Northeast and didn’t anticipate the love I would get from the lovely people there.” He cherishes the warmth he received from the kids there. The actor shared that it was truly special to meet them and soak in their love. “Also, I could get my family to spend some time with me and we toured Kaziranga and made beautiful memories. It was special and we loved every bit of this serene, rejuvenating vacation,” he added. Ayushmann revealed that he got to discover the extremely popular red tea ‘Lal Sa’ in Assam and has become a big fan of it. He said, “Just the thought of Northeast makes me tremendously nostalgic and it is beckoning me to head there soon. Hopefully, I will manage a quick trip as soon as my schedule permits.”

Clad in an all-blue ensemble, the ‘War’ actor posted a new picture on Instagram that sees the star turning into a suave avatar. Looking breathtaking as ever in the stunning picture, he is seen sporting a white t-shirt with a blue suit. The ‘Greek God’ seemed to be in a pensive mood in the picture.

Taking to the captions, he revealed that he is learning to let go of things to be joyous in life. “Used to be so difficult for me to laugh on screen. So tensed up all the time. Learning to let go has been one of the joys of my life,” he wrote using a heart emoticon.
