Open Fiber to cover 113 Tuscan towns by end-2021

Italian wholesale operator Open Fiber has announced that it will bring internet access using FTTH technology to a total of 113 towns and cities in Tuscany by the end of the year. The company has already invested some EUR 170 million to connect 80,000 homes and business in the region to its 1 Gbps fibre-optic service and currently has 76 FTTH construction sites in operation plus several complementary FWA projects as part of a plan to cover some 450,000 premises in 254 localities.
