Palghar police crackdown on alleged Covid safety violators

Palghar, Apr 5 (UNI) Consequent upon imposition of Covid safety regulations, the Rural Police have come down heavily on the alleged violators and registered four FIRs of violation of the regulations at marriage functions in the district.
The offences have been registered for exceeding the permitted limits of guests for the marriage, not wearing face masks, not maintaining social distance, etc., with the Vikramgad, Kelwa, and Gholwad police stations.
Police took action on four hotels, 11 shops and 218 persons for flouting the rules and fine of Rs 58,400 was collected from them, a release said.
