Family of late Shaiza clarifies on alleged statement

The family of Late Yangmaso Shaiza, the former Chief Minister of Manipur today clarified on an alleged statement made by the former NLA Speaker, Z Lohe during a peace rally on Naga political solution in Dimapur on March 9. .... Lohe allegedly quoted the former Chief Minister as saying, “I will not give an inch of Manipur for Naga integration,” the family said in a statement clarifying on the issue.

Among other things his reference to former Chief Minister of Manipur “was baseless and malicious” and has “no historical basis,” Soso Shaiza, daughter-in-law of late Shaiza said in the statement. “There is no such statement made by former CM in or outside the floor of the Manipur Assembly, there is neither official or unofficial records where Yangmaso Shaiza made such statement,” it said.
