As rumours circle online about a possible physical altercation between cast member of The Real Housewives of Johannesburg, production on the show has been halted.
M-Net confirmed this to Channel24.
"Season 3 of Real Housewives of Joburg has been discontinued at this time. This is due to unforeseen circumstances experienced during the production of the show," said Nomsa Philiso, Channel Director for Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.
The broadcaster didn't expand any further on the topic and no other official information was made available.
The show follows some of Jozi's most affluent women as they navigate friendship, love, and careers in the City of Gold.
The cast of season two included: Christall Kay, Brinnette Seopela, Lebo Jojo Gunguluza, Lethabo 'Lejoy' Mathatho, Mpho Merriweather, Nompumelelo 'Mrs Mops' Mophatlane and Tarina Patel.
Last year the most-watched local genre on Showmax was reality TV, with The Real Housewives of Johannesburg coming in on top.
